What our esteemed customers say
"They came through"
"We were organizing a surprise birthday party for my uncle in Nigeria. The event planner cancelled on us at the last minute, citing weak arrangements and all whatnot. Thankfully, I got in touch with Dcommmando Security through a friend in Lagos. Through their vendor-sourcing outreach, they arranged an event planner for my uncle. It turned out to be a great party..."

"They are the best at what they do"
"Last June 10th marks our sixth year wedding anniversary. It was a beautiful and memorable experience. The men from Dcommando Security were really professional. They stood guard at all entry/exit points all through the reception... To date my wife sings the praise of the four hefty men who bore her carriage as she made a royal entry to the hall. I've recommended them...ever since and THEY HAVEN'T FALLEN SHORT of expectations; not even once!"

Dcommando Security Blog
The Nightfall Syndicate
Six pm at the Municipal Shopping Mall.
It was a cool May evening—a welcome break from the relentless downpours of recent days. The shopping mall sat on a respectably large expanse of land and rose to three floors. Last-hour sales were on. Shoppers streamed in and out, rushing to beat the 7pm closing bell.
Right on cue, a bullion van pulled up at the gated entrance. A guard walked up for a routine inspection. The driver lowered his window, greeted warmly, and flashed his ID. The armoured van had come for the daily cash collection from shop owners. The guard nodded, lifted the barricade, and waved the van through.
As if choreographed by an unseen director, three dispatch riders zoomed in right after the van. Dressed in black with face masks on, they looked more like extras from a low-budget action movie than serious criminals. The guard, assuming they were escorts for the bullion van, waved them through without a second thought.
The van rolled west. The riders peeled east. Subtle.
The three alighted swiftly from their bikes. Two entered a pharmaceutical-cum-grocery store while the third—Musa "Muscle" Bala, towering at six foot four with the build of a professional wrestler and the brain of a rusty padlock—stood guard. In a bid to look “official,” he grabbed a metal signpost mounted on a car wheel and flipped it to “Closed.” Unfortunately, the sign also squeaked so loudly that even pigeons fled the rooftop. Still, he stood proud, turning away puzzled shoppers like a grumpy doorman at an exclusive nightclub.
Inside the Store
The two men barked, “Get down!” waving pistols with all the subtlety of a Nollywood villain. Panicked shoppers complied, pushing their phones forward. One robber scooped up the devices while the other—Tony “Ghost” Morgan—ordered the cashier to stuff two backpacks with cash.
Ghost tried to look cool, but nothing ruins an aura of menace faster than saying “Hurry up!” in a voice cracking like a teenager. Still, the job was done. Phones confiscated, hands tied, mouths gagged.
Minutes later, the men emerged, each carrying backpacks stuffed with cash.
The Getaway
By 6:20 pm, all three had mounted their bikes. The cash sat snugly in their delivery boxes—riders moonlighting as robbers. They zoomed past the main exit and melted into traffic.
The hostages rose and stumbled out, shouting “Thief! Thief!” — as if the traffic jam outside would suddenly U-turn to help. Too late.
The Syndicate Revealed
Police soon confirmed what many suspected: the culprits were the notorious Nightfall Syndicate. Their calling card? Three men, all in black, targeting malls and mid-sized businesses.
The line-up was infamous:
Tony “Ghost” Morgan – the supposed mastermind, ex-car thief, now self-styled vault whisperer.
Victor “Brains” Okoye – a “tech wizard” who claimed to disarm alarms with a gadget no larger than a chocolate bar. (Mostly he just pressed buttons until something beeped.)
Musa “Muscle” Bala – the enforcer, capable of knocking out a man with a single swing, though often confused by revolving doors.
They had pulled off five previous heists, vanishing with ₦34 million in loot. Their confidence was sky-high. Their competence? Questionable.
Sixth November. Six pm.
Ojuelegba Mall. The air buzzed with tired chatter, mop handles thudding, and tills ringing shut.
But in the underground car park, the Nightfall Syndicate rehearsed their greatest hit. This time: the mall vault. Their plan—simple. Their execution—tragic.
The Syndicate’s Modus Operandi
Ghost slipped through the loading bay, Brains tampered with alarms, Muscle lurked menacingly like a bodyguard in need of new instructions.
Within 15 minutes, they had raided three shops and were heading for the vault. It might have been the perfect crime... if the universe hadn’t decided to make them the punchline.
Dcommando Security Was Watching
Earlier that week, Ojuelegba Mall had signed on Dcommando Security to revamp surveillance and patrol systems. The Syndicate thought they were up against grainy old CCTV feeds. In reality, IP-based real-time monitoring and a rapid-response team were tracking their every move.
At 6:18 PM, as Brains fumbled with the fourth alarm, Officer Amaka in the control room spotted heat signatures on her screen. She radioed:
“Confirmed activity at the loading bay. Units move in. Let’s wrap this circus up.”
Within minutes, Dcommando guards flanked all exits. Officer Dapo secured the bay. Officer Yusuf blocked the getaway bikes.
The Syndicate was trapped, blissfully unaware.
The Take Down
Ghost swaggered out with the first duffel, only to be blinded by a flashlight and commanded:
“Drop the bag. Dcommando Security. You’re surrounded.”
Ghost froze mid-step. Muscle tried to charge forward—only to be tackled so cleanly by Officer Bisi that even spectators would have given it a 9/10 for technique. Brains, in a final moment of genius, reached for his blade... and promptly met a non-lethal stun device.
Three men. Three arrests. No drama—at least not for Dcommando.
Aftermath
₦7.2 million was recovered. Shop owners praised Dcommando. Business confidence soared. The Syndicate’s reign of error was officially over.

The Johannesburg Ambush
The Johannesburg Ambush
The streets of Johannesburg were alive with energy on that warm Friday evening.
Cars honked rhythmically through traffic, vendors peddled everything from bottled water to kota, bunny chow to boerewors rolls and lots more. A small crowd had gathered outside a high-end restaurant known for attracting celebrities.
Inside, Zara Blaze, the award-winning Afrobeats king, had just finished a private dinner with his team and close friends. With back-to-back chart-toppers, international tours, and multiple endorsement deals under his belt, Zara was no stranger to fame—or danger. He had been in a tour of some of South Africa's top cities viz Pretoria, Durban and now Johannesburg, after which he'd make a two-week tour of France. Zara grew up on the strees of Lagos, Nigeria. He was a wild type. He would often drive around town alone or in the company of some broad in a covertible with the roof down. Whenever he got mobbed, he threw some a substantial bundle of cash in the air and while people scrambled to pick the money, he sped off in his sports car. He loved the euphoria of living on the edge. It raised his dopamine levels like hard drugs. His manager had warned and fought him countless times over his care-free attitude, insisting Zara stayed close to his personal protection officers but Zara would often tease:
"Why are you so serious about life? A little risk, a little danger, a little living on the edge helps raise the adrenaline and keeps the heart pumping. Even Christ says you shouldn't be too careful about your life or you'd lose it."
He'd sit up and say in a low but serious tone: "A study says people die more from boredom than from accidents. Loosen up buddy..." And he'd light up a joint and puff away.
In response, his dumb-founded manager would just shack his head and curse under his breath.
But nothing could have prepared him for what was about to unfold. He had bitten a little too much than he could chew.
A Perfect Setup Turned Deadly
At approximately 9:42 PM, Zara, in the company of a generoulsy endowed Instagram influencer with low afro cut and a cleavage-exposing, body-hugging dress that barely made it to mid-thighs, exited the restaurant to a frenzy of fans and flashing cameras. Smiling graciously, he waved at the crowd with his left hand while his right was wrapped around the lady's slender waist. They wre making their way toward his sports car when chaos erupted.
A black van screeched to a halt at the corner, and three masked men jumped out—one brandishing a taser, another with zip ties. Their target was clear: abduct Zara, shove him into the van, and vanish into the night before anyone could react.
It was a well-planned ambush, executed in under five seconds.
What the assailants didn’t account for, however, was the precision, training, and fearlessness of Zara’s private security team who had been carefully selected by his manager and strategically positioned outside and inside of the restaurant.
The Split-Second Response
Before the attackers could reach him, two bodyguards emerged from opposite sides of the vehicle. One dove to push Zara out of the way, while the other intercepted the taser-wielding assailant mid-stride with a disabling arm lock.
The third bodyguard—posted discreetly across the street for strategic coverage—closed the gap in record time, subduing the second attacker with a defensive baton strike.
The third attacker tried to escape but was quickly tackled by a vigilant passerby who joined the fray after seeing the security team in action. Within 90 seconds, the scene had shifted from horror to control. All the while Zara and his attractive company stood shell-shocked at the drama unfolding before their eyes.
The Aftermath
The police arrived within minutes. The attackers were arrested and later linked to a cross-border kidnapping ring that had targeted high-net-worth individuals for ransom.
Zara shaken, but unharmed. In a later interview, he said:
“If it wasn’t for my team... I honestly don’t know what would’ve happened. I didn’t see it coming. They did.”
The incident ignited a firestorm on social media. Many fans praised the gallant security team of the Afro-beat star. Others threw tantrum on the security risk of a casual walk on the sreets of Johanneburg.

The Two-faced Affair
The Two-faced Affair
It was meant to be the happiest day of their lives.
The venue sparkled with white roses and golden chandeliers. Champagne bubbled in crystal flutes. Laughter echoed through the Ibadan event centre, and guests, dressed in their finest aso ebi, were treated to batch after batch of fun-fair. There was a cocktail hour that had guests treated to wines, small chops, asun and other appetizers. The MC, a budding star in the Nigerian Comedy scene announced the entry of very important guests including the parents of the couple, a couple of CEOs of top brands in the country, a movie star and others, all while the attendees cheered gleefully and a live band played energetically in the background. Finally, the much-awaited moment came and the newlyweds made their grand reception entrance. The cheers reached a fever-high pitch and the music wafted through the air like a strong sweet fragrance. Dancing, cheering, clinging of glasses enveloped the air. The atmosphere was electric. Amidst the pomp and pageantry, a man in his early thirties dressed in an all-black attire had managed to slip into the reception hall. He had greeted the event bouncers with a smile and a wave of the hand. The bouncers in turn had waved back, as they had settled to their seats to a very generous serving of jollof rice and grilled turkey. They had taken him as one of the vendors or media personality.
Once in the hall, the man in black surveyed the entire place and placed a finger on a communication gadget fixed to his right ear and said: “I’m in…” Kelechi and Ugochi—two young professionals deeply in love—had spared no expense. There were all sorts of assorted dishes, expensive drinks, elaborately decorated hall, live music, celebrity MC…. Everything was perfect. Until it wasn’t.
A Moment of Celebration Turns into Chaos
At exactly 5:13 PM, Kelechi stood at the centre of the hall, raising a toast to his new bride who stood beside him, radiant in white lace and pearls. Applause followed.
Then, from the rear of the hall, a sharp cracking sound shattered the joy—a gunshot. Then another.
Panic erupted. People screamed, dove for cover, chairs tumbled, wine glasses smashed.
Two armed men in dark clothing had slipped through the side entrance. One fired twice into the air, the other aimed directly at Kelechi and pulled the trigger.
He collapsed to the floor, blood soaking into his shirt before anyone could process what had happened.
The second man rushed to Ugochi, dragged her by the arm, and forced her toward the exit. Several guests tried to intervene, but the man in black—previously posing as a photographer—brandished a weapon and threatened to shoot anyone who moved.
Within two minutes, they were gone.
The Aftermath
By the time the police arrived, the bride had been abducted, the groom was dead, and the once-vibrant celebration was now a crime scene littered with fallen décor and shell-shocked guests.
Investigations later revealed the motive: a targeted attack by rivals from Kelechi’s past business dealings, who had been monitoring the couple’s wedding plans for weeks.
This tragedy could have been prevented.
Lessons from a Wedding Gone Wrong
Despite spending millions on decorations, catering, and venue, the organizers failed to invest in one critical component: professional event security.
Besides the two bouncers at the main entrance, there were no security personnel posted at all entry points. No screening for fake vendors. No surveillance. No trained guards capable of identifying or responding to threats.
Had there been even a modest layer of security, the perpetrators might have been flagged before they ever stepped foot in that hall.
